Just found more sources confirming the sad news. I guess Ryan Murphy wanted to be better this year about giving the cast longer breaks, and now they are getting an extra month off this summer which is good. But I am extremely saddened. :(

I think Carson dying in Struck by Lightning is very symbolic. Carson is the part of Chris that always struggled with self doubt, worried about his dreams not coming true and facing hardships. Now that part of him has died because he’s finally made his dreams come true.
